![]() The Swatantra theatre is the only Hindi theatre in town which focuses on the acting workshops for children. The competition was judged by eminent theatre artist Swapnil Shirsat, who is associated with Swatantra theatre. The competition also witnessed a dynamic and proactive work from the house teachers in conceptualising and preparing the students for street play. This event helped promote and harbor the acting talent in students, while making them responsible citizens. In a highly entertaining way students conveyed social awareness messages on demonetisation, importance of education, Swachh Bharat and child labour. The set up was in an outdoor area keeping in mind that street play breaks the formal medium and approaches the audience directly. Children enacted, sang a nd expressed themselves with confidence and ease. All the five houses, Agni, Ambar, Neer, Vasundhara and Vayu enthused the audience with their thought provoking street play mirroring the problems of our Indian society. ![]() The HDFC School buzzed with enthusiasm during the inter-house 'Nukkad natak' competition held recently. ![]()
